In another change of pace, Last Night is a country-ish lament about unreturned love (hey, they can't all be profound odes to life and family).  Like (What's Wrong with a) Surprise, this was recorded in the living room in the old house in Vermont, but, significantly, the wood fire is out in this one.  Yes, that's me looking down at the lyrics a couple of times toward the end.
